A Los Angeles-based rental platform brought in fresh funds to scale its global operations, while an electric vehicle maker raised capital to create new luxury sedans.


Venture Capital

Guesty, a Walnut-based short-term rental platform, raised a $170 million funding round led by the Apax Digital Funds, MSD Partners and Sixth Street Growth.

Gardena-based electric vehicle maker Faraday Future raised $52 million from ATW Partners.

GrayMatter Robotics, a Gardena-based industrial robotics firm, raised a $20 million Series A funding round led by Bow Capital.

Los Angeles-based dental care company Flossy raised a $14.7 million Series A funding round led by TTV Capital.

El-Segundo-based fitness studio management software company PushPress raised $11 million in Series A funding led by Altos Ventures.

Chamberlain Coffee, a Los Angeles-based coffee company, raised $7 million in Series A funding led by Blazar Capital.

Serenity EHS, a San Diego-based health, safety and sustainability monitoring startup, raised a $5 million seed funding round led by Base10 Partners.

At Lowercarbon Capital’s LA Tech Week event Thursday, the synergy between the region’s aerospace industry and greentech startups was clear.

The event sponsored by Lowercarbon, Climate Draft (and the defunct Silicon Valley Bank’s Climate Technology & Sustainability team) brought together a handful of local startups in Hawthorne not far from LAX, and many of the companies shared DNA with arguably the region’s most famous tech resident: SpaceX.
