This Week in ‘Raises’: Total Network Services Gains $9M, Autio Secures $5.9M

It has been a slow week in funding, but a local decentralized computing network managed to land $9 million to accelerate deployment of its new product called Universal Communication Identifier (UCID™). Another local company that secured capital included Kevin Costner’s location-based audio storytelling platform and the funding will go toward expanding the app’s content library and expanding into additional regions in the United States.

Santa Barbara-based location based audio storytelling app Autio raised $5.9 million in a second seed round led by iHeartMedia.
Mate Fertility, a Los Angeles-based fertility clinic raised $4.2 million out of $5 million for its Series A funding round led by
GIADZY, Inc., a Los Angeles-based online retailer and media company raised $3.1 million in funding, per an SEC filing.
Superfiliate, a Los Angeles-based marketing platform raised a $3 million seed funding round led by Hawke Ventures.
Per an SEC filing, Burbank-based digital media platform Electric Monster Media, Inc. raised $2 million in funding.
Los Angeles-based consumer privacy platform PrivacyHawk Inc. raised $1.5 million in funding, per an SEC filing.
