Huupe, the creator of the smart basketball hoop, appointed former Hydrow CTO Chris Paul as chief technology officer

EVgo, a public fast charging network for electric vehicles added consumer technology executive Tanvi Chaturvedi as chief revenue officer. Prior to joining, Chaturvedi was head of growth at Google Nest and also held leadership positions at Procter & Gamble’s consumer businesses in Asia.

Private biotechnology company Aspen Neuroscience welcomed Kim Raineri as chief technology officer. Raineri served as AVROBIO’s chief manufacturing and technology officer.

Insurance technology company Sure appointed Vic Russo as chief financial officer. Russo served CFO positions at Reachdesk, Electric and Savills Studley.

GoSecure, a cybersecurity company, hired David DeRuffas chief financial officer. DeRuff served as COO and CCO for Dean Bradley Osborne.

Wireless solutions provider Airgain named Michael Elbaz its chief financial officer. Prior to joining, Elbaz served as Cohu’s vice president of finance.

Liyan Shen joined direct-to-consumer wedding dress brand Birdy Grey as chief financial officer. Shen held CFO positions at Heart + Paw, STRATIS IoT and the Quaker School.

Konnect Agency, a full-service brand marketing agency, welcomed Ben Garnero as chief marketing officer. Garnero served as Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt’s vice president of marketing.

At Lowercarbon Capital’s LA Tech Week event Thursday, the synergy between the region’s aerospace industry and greentech startups was clear.

The event sponsored by Lowercarbon, Climate Draft (and the defunct Silicon Valley Bank’s Climate Technology & Sustainability team) brought together a handful of local startups in Hawthorne not far from LAX, and many of the companies shared DNA with arguably the region’s most famous tech resident: SpaceX.
