Security vendor Saviynt welcomed back its founder Sachin Nayyar as chief executive officer. Nayyar rejoined the company after serving as founder and CEO of cyber security company Securonix

Illumina, a DNA sequencing and array-based technologies company, appointed former Thermo Fisher Scientific president Joydeep Goswami as chief financial officer.

Fintech software company Docupace hired Mike Zebrowski as chief operating officer. Zebrowski previously served at MassMutual, TD Bank, eMoney and co-founded Advisor Innovation Labs (A.I. Labs).

Kevin D’Amour joined biotechnology company Stemson Therapeutics as chief scientific officer. Prior to this role, D’Amour held the CSO position at ViaCyte.

Broadvoice, a telecommunications platform named Sean Johnston vice president of channel partnerships and alliances. Most recently, Johnston served as the national channel director at 8x8.

Social creative agency The FIFTH added Brett Brown as head of creative. Brown has developed award-winning transmedia creatives at agencies that include Saatchi & Saatchi, Campfire NYC, cp+b, 72andSunny and RPA.

At Lowercarbon Capital’s LA Tech Week event Thursday, the synergy between the region’s aerospace industry and greentech startups was clear.

The event sponsored by Lowercarbon, Climate Draft (and the defunct Silicon Valley Bank’s Climate Technology & Sustainability team) brought together a handful of local startups in Hawthorne not far from LAX, and many of the companies shared DNA with arguably the region’s most famous tech resident: SpaceX.
