Munchkin, Inc., a company that manufactures baby products and accessories welcomed Alan Wizemann as chief digital officer. Wizemann previously served as Dollar Shave Club’s and Goop’s CDO.

Social media company MeWe tapped the former Apple and Disney marketing executive Michael Huntsman as senior vice president of marketing and former MerchantWords president Mark Liu as head of product.

Industry veteran Dean Trossen joined IT consulting services company EVOTEK as vice president. Prior to joining, Trossen served as the senior director of sales at Chainalysis.

Autonomous driving technology company TuSimple appointed J. Tyler McGaugheyand Zhen Tao to its board of directors as independent directors. McGaughey served as the deputy assistant secretary (DAS) of investment security at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, while Tao serves as a senior partner at Third Square Capital Management.

Hudson Pacific, a real estate investment firm, added Barry Sholem to the company’s board of directors. Sholem previously served as chairman of DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners.

A local space robotics startup raised fresh funding to expand the flight model manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. and increase employment, while a remote litigation platform raised more funding to continue growing its footprint in new markets across the country, develop service channels for its clients and continue expanding its tech team.

Gitai Raises $30 Million to Expand Manufacturing Footprint in Los Angeles

Space robotics company Gitai raised a $30 million Series B extension this week, bringing the total value of the round to roughly $47 million.

The funding will be used to further develop Gitai’s suite of space robots as well as build out its manufacturing footprint in Torrance. Previously Gitai announced it raised a $17.1 million Series B in March 2021; this additional raise is still part of that round.
