Media company Archer Gray promoted Vinay Singh as chief executive officer. Prior to this role, Singh served as the company’s COO and vice-chair.

Fast casual restaurant platform Modern Restaurant Concepts hired seasoned restaurant executive John Cywinski as chief executive officer and board member. Cywinski held leadership roles at Applebee's, McDonald’s, Chili’s, KFC and Burger King.

FaZe Clan, an esports team owner named former chief of staff Rana Kaplan as general manager, Summer Martin as vice president of content operations and Vera Salamone as vice president of talent. Martin previously managed the company’s production operations, while Salamone served as an artist manager at Dare Mighty Entertainment. The company also hired former general manager Brooke Grant as head of Web3.

Allen Media Group promoted Andrew Temple from president of domestic television distribution to chief operating officer of broadcast sales and syndication.

Private investment firm Angeles Equity Partners added Elizabeth Crowe as vice president of operations. Prior to joining, Crowe served as a project leader at Boston Consulting Group.

Doug Williamson joined biotechnology company Acadia Pharmaceuticals as executive vice president of head of research and development. Most recently, he served as CMO at Avadel Pharmaceuticals.

CRISPR QC, an analytics platform intended to simulate the gene editing process before introduction to cells, welcomed George Bonaros to its board of directors. Bonaros currently serves as the senior director of business development at Biocom.

Bioscience company ChromaDex appointed leading aging and neurodegenerative disease researcher, Dr. Vilhelm Bohr, to its scientific advisory board.

The state of California wants 100% of new passenger vehicles sales to be fully electric by 2035. Last year, the state hit a nation-leading 16%. That’s pretty good, but 84% is still a long way to go.

A new study, published Monday in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, investigates which factors have been responsible for the rise in new EV sales nationally. The findings indicate that consumers are increasingly likely to choose an electric vehicle, and nearly all of the gains can be explained simply by improving technologies.
