Venture capital firm PowerPlant Partners elevated head of investor relations and marketing Kathryn Cicoletti as chief operating officer. The company also hired former Touchdown Ventures associate Jigar Majmundar as vice president.

SUMA Wealth, a financial technology company, welcomed back the former chief executive officer Daniela Corrente as chief strategy and business officer.

Vereco Healthcare Solutions, a healthcare document services company added Paul Anthony as chief financial officer. Anthony was most recently CFO and corporate secretary for CynergisTek.

Chris Johnson joined tvScientific, a performance advertising platform as vice president of technology. Prior to joining, Johnson served as VP of engineering at Infillion.

Security and compliance automation platform Drata named George Bonser as vice president of sales. Bonser most recently served as the VP of sales and general manager of EMEA at OpsRamp.

Private equity firm Coatue hired Snap executive Ben Schwerin as new general partner in Los Angeles.

Halozyme Therapeutics, a biotechnology company appointed Barbara Duncan to its board of directors. Duncan previously served as the CFO of Intercept Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Music superstar, choreographer, dancer, songwriter and performer Paula Abduljoined psychic platform Psychics1on1 as partner.

ImmPACT Bio, a clinical-stage company dedicated to the discovery of transformative chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies for cancer patients, appointed Biren Amin to its board of directors. Amin also serves as a co-director on the board of trustees of Axiom REACH Foundation.

At Lowercarbon Capital’s LA Tech Week event Thursday, the synergy between the region’s aerospace industry and greentech startups was clear.

The event sponsored by Lowercarbon, Climate Draft (and the defunct Silicon Valley Bank’s Climate Technology & Sustainability team) brought together a handful of local startups in Hawthorne not far from LAX, and many of the companies shared DNA with arguably the region’s most famous tech resident: SpaceX.
