Accelerator Grants to Stem COVID-19 in Kids
A medical device accelerator, the West Coast Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics, is offering grants of up to $15,000 in an effort to manage the health impacts of COVID-19 on children and stem its spread. While cases of the novel coronavirus tend to be less severe in the very young, experts fear children can spread the deadly virus, and those with special needs are particularly vulnerable to infection.
